Superior Labs is a leading manufacturer of precision avionics that is based out of Hot Springs Arkansas.
Since 1977, SLI Tachometers has produced the most accurate aircraft instruments on the market for airplane manufacturers such as:
American Champion, Beech, Bonanza, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Maule, Mooney, Piper and various other small aircraft companies, including lightweight & experimental airplanes.
SLI Tachometers opened their doors for business in the summer of 1977, by Kim Bishop. Kim opened Superior Labs after working her entire life in the aerospace machine shop owned by her father, Cecil P. Bishop, a veteran of the US Air Force and founder of Bishop Aviation Inc.
SLI Tachometers began assembling various flight instrument components in high production at Bishop Aviation's aerospace machining company. With Cecil's engineering background, combined with Kimberly's hard work and determination, it didn't long for the Bishop family to see that they were only a few steps away from manufacturing complete aircraft instruments.
After researching the avionics industry and consulting with various OEM manufacturer's, the Bishop's discovered that mechanical tachometers were in very high demand, by the aviation industry.

As a result of their quality procedures, meticulous parts and superior work ethics. SLI Tachometers grew to be a full-time business employing over 15 full-time personnel.
